Two Sites, One Scope
The job spanned two facilities that serve real roles in the local community. We worked through both sites with the same approach and kept things properly sequenced between locations. Running the same scope across two buildings takes more coordination than it looks, but the standard had to be consistent across both.
Getting the Wiring Right
The mechanical electrical and controls wiring was the foundation for everything else on this job. We worked through it carefully and kept the installation clean so the rest of the scope had something solid to build on.
Fan Control and Indication Panels
We supplied and installed the fan control and indication panels across both facilities. They give the buildings proper control over ventilation and make it straightforward for anyone on site to see what the system’s doing at a glance.
ABB Cylon DDC Control System
The DDC system was the main controls package on this job. We commissioned it for economy cycle and CO2 control, so it reads the conditions inside and adjusts ventilation accordingly. It’s not running the fans harder than they need to be, which keeps the spaces comfortable without wasting energy.
Project Challenges and Solutions
Working Across Two Sites
Running the same scope across two separate facilities means keeping things organised and making sure both sites get the same standard of work. We moved between locations in a way that kept the job progressing and the install on track at each site.
Integrating the Controls Package
Getting the ABB Cylon system commissioned correctly took some care. The economy cycle and CO2 logic needed to behave properly across different conditions, so we worked through it methodically and made sure everything responded the way it was supposed to before handover.
Client Feedback
Both facilities came away with a controls installation that suits how the spaces are used. The DDC system gives each site something reliable for ongoing comfort and ventilation management, and the fit-out was delivered to a standard both clients were happy with.
